Hi. I have an iPhone 4s running 6.1.3. It used to be on 6.1.2 and jailbroken. I tried to keep it on 6.1.2 so that I would not lose my jailbreak but it was bricked and would not turn on. So I had to restore it with iTunes. I have been reading some stuff on the internet trying to figure out how to either jailbreak 6.1.3 or downgrade to 6.1.2 and jailbreak. From what I can tell, it looks like older devices running 6.1.3 can be downgraded or use a 6.1.3 tethered jailbreake but the iPhone 4s can not take advantage of either option. If I am wrong, please tell me how to downgrade or do a jailbreak for 6.1.3. evasi0n does not work on 6.1.3 and I read that they are not going to update evasi0n until iOS 7 is out because they did find some exploits that would work on 6.1.3, but do not want to waste the exploits on a minor iOS update and then have apple patch the holes before they release iOS 7, which will be a more major update. I also tried to jailbreak or downgrade with redsn0w, but it does not support the iPhone 4s for downgrading or jailbreaking. Then I downloaded iOS 6.1.2 from ipswdownloader.com and put it in the software updates folder in iTunes and then restored my phone. It installed 6.1.3 again, not the 6.1.2 ipsw that I had put in the software updates folder. I do not want to wait for iOS 7 to come out. I googled the release date and found out that it will not be released until September. Please help if you can. Also, if you know anybody who may be able to help me, please forward this email to them and give them my email address, which is [email protected]. Thank you.
