macOS and Mac Apps
Hello,
Been messing around with my Mac again and was wondering if Swift Playgrounds is accessible? I ask because I'm on the first lesson and it wants you to find a gem, but I am unable to find it with VoiceOver. I know what it's talking about from when I used Swift Playgrounds on an iPad, but have no idea how to find that grid on Mac. any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
It is but it's a bit pants, also I am not sure if the orientation of the character is voiced correctly. You have to do a lot of delving in and out of fields and groups so, I'd say it is workable instead of accessible, if that makes sense.
I'm not sure, but I'd imagine it might be better on iPad as it will be easier to explore the maze, though you'll need a bluetooth keyboard too.
I put up a question a couple of months back regarding coding and there were quite a few replies and links to resources. From what I understand, there are probably easier ways to learn swift than the rather cumbersome experience us VoiceOver users have with playgrounds.
Thank you. Could you link to that post?
Curious what other solutions people suggested.

Firstly, found this when searching the forums which might be of interest:

But the thread I asked for help with is here:

I'm ashamed to say I didn't follow up on any of this as other projects involving 3d printing came up. Still, there seems to be quite a lot of suggestions on there so hoping you'll find something.
It might be worth finding out if there are indeed any online classes that cater to us. If you find anything, I'm sure it will be very much appreciated if you could drop the info here. I'd certainly be interested.
Cheers
