It doesn't matter
It doesn't matter which kind of dragon you choose to defeat to get the elite dragon, you simply need 1000 of the same kind. I chose flame dragons, but ordinary dragons will give you the same result if you defeat enough of them. Defeating 1000 of either kind of dragon can be a long process, but it'll be worth it in the end: as I write this, I have defeated 827 flame dragons, so it shouldn't be very long before I unlock the elite dragon myself.
Thanks Claire
Thanks for the info, Claire. I decided to pick the normal one as it is much easier. but I need two things, first of all, can anyone explain how the event tickets work? I was led to believe that you need to buy a ticket for each event, but apparently, I read in the hints section that event tickets have future use. So how do I know when to get a new one and when to stay with my old ticket? Furthermore, how does the enchantment system work? Let’s say I have to melee inchance and decided to recharge them both. Will I get double the power or double the chance to land a critical hit? Or will it just be the same result as charging just one
Event tickets
In answer to the question about event tickets, you have to buy a new ticket for each new event, and obviously you don't have to take part in every event, or even in any of them, if you don't want to do so. If I remember right, the event tickets you have bought for different events are useful in the home you have built up, to change some of the personalisation options. I can't answer the enchantments question, I rarely use those myself, in fact I admit I keep forgetting about enchantments and potions even though I have a few of each.
Story 6
Hi guys,
Where can I find the scroll Story 5? Thanks
Searching scrolls
I believe that it is in Fonetazia . I can’t remember where it is precisely though. Just try exploreing villages and visiting shrines and each time you find a button called search area tap on it. try looking in some castles too. that’s what I did.
Why do some event tickets cost?
$100 to $200 worth of golden gems?
Event ticket pricing
Hi there. Yes it is frankly odd that you have to buy a ticket in order to enter the event. Then again, you literally have to buy hints in order to understand fully what to do. so this is not too far-fetch. As for the pricing of the ticket itself, the ones I’ve seen are from 100 golden gems to 200 Golden gems which may cost about four dollars to $10 maximum
Another place to get story scrolls
Here's some more useful information about getting story scrolls. It's true that a lot of the story scrolls in Swordy Quest can be won by matching items on the Search Area screens in Fonetazia, but this is not the case with all of them: some have to be bought at a coin market in Fonetazia, probably in any village, but I can't confirm that, as it's ages since I obtained all the story scrolls, and I have forgotten where I bought the last few.

Sometimes you actually have to buy scrolls from coin market
I can’t remember where I got them all myself, they were scattered all around the realm. But I do remember buying some of them in some of the villages. It’s going to be a hassle, but like I said, try to find any place that says search area or just look into each market in each respective village. It’s quite a pain but you’ll find them eventually
A problem with never door realm
Hay every one. Sometimes when I enter the infinite the neverdoor realm doesn’t show up on the map. Like sometimes it does but most of the time it doesn’t. Is that normal? And if it isn’t, how do I fix it? I need that neverfroot
No control of where you land in the Infinite
I seem to remember reading in the hints, to be found in villages and homes in the different realms, that, when you enter the Infinite, you will land in a random place each time, which means there's no guarantee of ending up in Neverdora.
The problem isn’t where I land, it’s what I find on the map
So the thing is, when I go into the infinite. I find everything I need except never Dora. Why is that the only exception? I mean I don’t want to land there, but I just want to find it on the map. Why is zentorn the only thing that’s there every time?
I wish I knew!
I have no idea why you arrive in Zentorn every time you go into the Infinite: the same thing happens every time for me. I don't know if Neverdora has to be unlocked, or whether it's pure chance that we will get to that area one day: I know it exists, not just from the hints, other Swordy Quest players I know have been there.
It's by chance. I end up in…
It's by chance. I end up in that rhelm every so often.
Thanks for everything Claire.
I thought that maybe you have to defeat the elite dragon in order to unlock it, but it seems like that isn’t the case. I defeated the elite dragon today and nothing changed. It seems like it’s entirely on chance. So sometimes you get there and sometimes you don’t. what I ended up doing was I kept going in and out of the infinite until I found it on the map.
Gathering
When I began playing Swordy Quest, I used to be able to press and hold as I gathered. Now though, I have to double tap then hold to gather. I liked it the way it used to be. Is there a way to change this behavior?
I’m having issues too
I had to start the game from the beginning after I reset my iPad and I still had my 7 crystals from my original account, gained 5 more and had them stripped from the game again. Originally I had 21 and they were parshly stripped leaving me with the 7 I have minchened at the beginning.
I don’t care how many times I have gain crystals but the same thing happens every time. What’s the point of the game if it’s full of bugs that will never be fixed. Buying the game won’t fix it either. No one can contact the developer so what’s the point of going forward with supporting it any farther. He stopped listening to our issues anyway.
When will it be properly fixed?
swordy quest
Isn’t there maybe a way to customize assistive touch in accessibility settings in the iOS settings app? To make it work with Swordy Quest
ther weapons
I now ha(e a bow. I can't use it because it still says swing. Is there a way to change this?
Gems
Is it possible to get back an order of gems if you spent them on a object within the game if you don’t use the object cause I spent like 195 on a ticket that I didn’t want by accident
Swordy Quest
Hi, does anyone know how to find the soul glass SHARD to create the glass weapons in Swordy Quest. Any help would be appreciative.
How to get glass shards
To get glass shards, which are needed to craft the new glass weapons, you have to do boss fights in the castles of the Infinite, with the shadow king being the boss in those fights. You need quite a lot of shards to get all the glass weapons, so good luck§
Questions about Swordy quest.
I've been thinking of getting back in to this one.
I had great fun with it a few years ago, and I'm glad I bought the infinite map which at the time was a one time purchase, now seems to be a monthly charge.
The reason I stopped playing, was because while I loved getting the castles and doing quests, it seems goals suddenly went insane! It'd gone from kill this boss 10 or so times to build an artefact, to literally defeat 400 dragons, or 1000 sharks, which is nuts! Not to mention having to be lucky with infinite map monster appearences.
There now seem to be more things to build and more creatures to look for, which is nice, since it'll give me something to do while I try for those big targets.
I'm already level 75, but still using obsidian gear, since I haven't killed enough bloody dragons.
So first question: I'm about to migrate from an Iphone 8 to an Iphone 17, how do I transfer my game data? Does it go automatically via game centre, or is there something else I need to do.
second question: there seems to be some new creatures added in fonotasia. I've got a couple of them, but am still missing creature 10, which apparently is a rare creature found in the deepest, darkest edges of the ocean.
do I just need to hunt in deep sea as for the others? or is there something special, like defeat two grabilian sirens or something.
Third question: How does one make gold bars? I have the smelter, there's also something about cooking and farming which sound cool, but to get the gold harpoon I'll need gold bars, do you just need to gather in lakes?
third question: I've been thinking about the yearly subscription, since I like the minigames and quests, but am reluctant if the game just divolves into killing hundreds of the same monster type.
is the Vip version worth it? Are there more smaller tasks to do to advance?
Answers to questions from Dark
I have only played Swordy Quest on one iPhone so far, the SE2 I am currently using, so I can't say exactly what happens when you change phones: I assume that Game Center will transfer your progress as it does with other games, but you will have to restore purchases you have made on a previous device, unless you choose to do a subscription.
I also only have enemy number 10 to defeat in Fonetazia, and have done a lot of hunting in the deep sea for it, without any luck so far. I have not seen anything in the hints about needing a certain number of any other creature to find or defeat this enemy.
Cooking is only possible in the members' area, which you need a subscription for. That doesn't stop you from farming crops if you want to do that: this is done in the plantation on any farm.
As for gold bars, these are made by smelting gold nuggets which are found in lakes. However, you only get half the amount of bars compared to the nuggets you smelted, for example if you smelt four gold nuggets they will only make two gold bars.
I hope this helps!
reply to clare
Hi.
Thanks for the answers, I have started finding gold nuggets in the lake, though it's going to take a lot of gathering to get enough for me to make a golden harpoon, also did some of my first farming which is fun.
I did a quick google search on enemy 10, and apparently what you need to do is check the literal edge of the map, start at ocean square 1-1 and go around the edge, though I've tried looking in the four corners, and no joy so far.
Again, on the one hand I do enjoy the extra systems in the game, on the other there does seem to be a lot of grinding for the same enemy, EG 1000 sharks or 400 dragons, so I'm still on the fence about whether to buy the subscription, though if it increases resource gathering that might help.
Again, with swordy quest it's an odd one, I like a lot of the gameplay systems, crafting, gathering, combat, and some of the editions like cooking or golden enemies look really interesting, but I preferd when the game was based around shorter, achievable goals like beating a boss castle, even 10 boss castles, rather than waiting for the rng gods to be kind with enemy appearances in the infinite, or having to fight the same enemy hundreds of times.
Thanks for the enemy 10 tip
Many thanks for the tip concerning Fonetazia enemy 10 above. Now I know why I have been getting nowhere fast when I tried to defeat that enemy: I understood the edges of the oceans to mean the coast near the land, it had never occurred to me to try the outer edges of the map. At some point I will go back to Fonetazia and try hunting for that elusive enemy without going near the land at all.
Re enemy 10
In fairness this is something I just read after a google search, it's not something I can personally confirm.
I tried hunting in deep sea from squares 1-1 to 1-7 in Fonotasia, and nothing so far, though it was at least a good way to continue raising my shark total.
Your tip worked in Fonetazia
I am happy to confirm that ythe tip about Fonetazia enemy 10 worked for me. Yesterday evening I had hunted in only a few ocean squares near the edge of the Fonetazia map when I found that enemy: maybe I was just lucky to find it quickly, but I won't say what it is here, that's for others to find out when they battle against it. Given that enemy 10 in the Beyond can also occasionally be found in the deepest darkest edges of the ocean, I have been hunting in the ocean along the edges of the Beyond map since I defeated the rare enemy in Fonetazia: I assume that the enemy in the Beyond is an alpha version of the enmy I defeated in Fonetazia yesterday, but I can't be sure of that till I defeat it, however long that takes.
cool that it worked!
Hay, cool that it worked, that also gives me an idea of where to look as well.
Got my Iphone 17 now, and while I'm not sure if it's because I did the data transfer thing from my Iphone 8, or because I'm logged in to game centre, all my progress is still there, which is nice!
Still not sure whether getting the yearly subscription would be worth it or not, since while I like the idea of extra activities like cooking, extended item crafting and extra loot, I'm less sure if anything will help my over all game progress with those long time goals.
Heck, I still need to find more scrolls.
