Nothing to do with blindness here

The ID has to recognize the unique features around everyone's eyes. so of course if blind people can unlock it now, it won't be any different. sunglasses won't work owing to the fact they cover most of the eyeball. Just wait a few months and test it out.

Completely blind people can also use this feature

You don't have to worry about whether a blind person can use this feature. However, it should be noted that since the TrueDepth camera needs to detect the area around the eyes to confirm whether the person unlocking is you, you need to have an appropriate angle when you hold the iPhone in front of the face instead of the angle as before are few requirements.Of course, this feature is still in the testing stage, and in the second beta version released two days ago, I found that the speed of unlocking has been significantly improved. Let's see what the final release will look like.

Well, it didn't work for me at all.

Come to think of it, an ordinary face ID very nearly didn't, either. I don't understand how to get my face in the frame. II'm holding it in front of me, really far away so the camera will see. It said you dont' need a mask to set up so I didn't use it.
