Hello,

I use the rode reporter app with the two rode lav+ microphones. But the app is not working anymore. When I open the app voice over works very slow and that makes that I can not use the app.
Someone also have this problem?

Thanks
Regards

Yeah I can also confirm the same issue although it might be worth trying to see if you can use the screen recognition to get to some of the buttons to start recording again. It’s certainly not ideal but yes I really hope that they fix it

Could you possibly put the email address here as well but yeah I don’t mind sending an email, cheers.

Hello,

Just another question. Is it possible (when the app is fixed) to record the microphones on separate tracks?
Or in another app like just press record to split the microphones to the left and right channel.

No idea can’t help you on that one I’m afraid. However, I’m pretty sure even though it records in stereo doesn’t record it on separate tracks. If it does, I’ve never been able to figure that out. I’m pretty sure just press record only records in stereo.

I’ve managed to make another discovery, you don’t necessarily have to use the Rode Reporter app. You could simply use any other audio app such as Just Press Record and set the input to the road Mike as it will do the same thing. Providing you have your levels set with the reporter app in the initial setup, if that is the case then you should be fine it still works really well. I’m sure they will fix the update at some point but you don’t necessarily have to use the reporter app as there are loads of apps out there that will do the same thing with the two Smart Lav mikes

ok, the RODE SC6-L adapter hooked up to my iphone + 2 TRS>TRRS cables allow me to have a dual mic input. One is a classic cardioid mic I fixed on my gimbal and the other is the RODE wireless go.

Now the aim is to have the cardioid mic as a backup in case audio recording with the RWG has hickups. Settings can only be done inside the RODE reporter iOS app (!). Does it matter whether i choose to have a combined stereo canal (that i can split afterwards in Logic f.ex.) or two separate channels (one registering on the left and the other on the right channel) ? I'll have to cut out the cardioid mic's recording out anyway...
It's recommended to set the input gain in the RODE reporter app not too high in order to avoid clipping. Setting it to low is ok for the RWG's audio, but it makes the gimbal cardioid mic almost inaudible.
So is there a way to manually boost the input gain of the gimbal cardioid mic alone and if so how ?

I can’t answer your question I’m afraid because the app is now totally inaccessible so until they fix it, I don’t think anybody will be able to give you a complete answer to this one.
