Purchasing airtag, but how long will it take?

Am about to purchase the AIrtag from apple on april 30, as it will become available, the problem here is that my friend in USA and he will leave on the 6th of may, do you think he will be able to get it? if i will make direct order from apple, will it arrive before this date?
need your experience.

Don’t wait until the 30th
You don’t have to wait until the 30th. They started selling the tags last Friday. I ordered one, and I will receive it on the 30th, and I live in Puerto Rico. When you check a product in the Apple Store App, they will tell you the expected arrival time. I hust checked,and for my zip code if I place an order now, I will receive it between the 4 and the 6 of May. Don’t now if it will be sooner for a zip code in the continental USA. Visit the app and check. Also, check with Amazon because I heard they will be selling the Tags.

Look at the shipping times…
Look at the shipping times and see. that's all I can say. They are estimates. Most of the time it arrives early. I had a usb brick arive 1 day early.
