When will Distopia client for Reddit be available?
I want to use Reddit and I can’t because I can’t find this app in the AppStore. How much longer?
Does that mean I would have to update every time it runs out?
I haven’t joined yet. I was wondering if you had the direct link that Brad provided a few months ago.
That link is the same link as far as I know.
Once the account is created; you can log in to the app and look for subreddits.
The app asked me if I wanted to sign up for an account or sign in?
If Dystopia had a step by step guide for us to follow.
It does not, however the pap is so easy to use it really does not need one. turn on your voiceover hints and you shoudl be good to go. YOu can even filter out certain thigns via the settings and expressions, much better than the reddit app IMHO.
I didn't know that you can create an account with the app. I think it'll lead you to create one with the safari browser.
And people aren't gonna like me for it, but, this app has been in test flight beta for over a year. The kid who developed it keeps constantly saying he's gonna take it out of beta, but then he never does. You know how the afterglow things didn't work, and how some people, not everyone, but a lot of us for some reason kept getting errors when trying to opt in for that addon? Again, I know some of you had no issue but a lot of us me included did. Well, wanna know why now it just by default has afterglow enabled? I tell you why. It's because I kept bitching at the guy to figure out why this kept happening. He kept saying I don't know. As a developer myself, I gave him some things to check, and even tried giving him some links on the Apple Dev side of things to ask in the forums. I even went as far as to tell him how to reach out to Apple to see if they could help. He kept saying to me, I'm in school, I can't right now, I'm a minor so can't put it in the app store either as I needed my mom to cosign for me on my dev account since I'm not 18. This was almost a year ago, and he said, I'll be 18 in about 2 months and then will send it to the app store for review. Well, to this day he still says he's under 18, and that his school won't let him code apps due to some school policy or another. I mean, frankly? it's just excuse after excuse. Or so it seems. Everyone keeps telling me, give the poor guy a break, dude. Lookat! I've given him way more than amble breaks/time. When test flight said the app was about to expire, guess how soon before it did so, he once pushed an update? Literally 5 minutes roughly before the thing crapped out. OK, fair. He got it done before the deadline, I'll give ya that, but only barely. I dunno. It's an amazing app. I'll also even be willing to give you that. He did a fabulous job on the thing, but it just seems that the excuses he is making regardless if they're legit or not are really shady. And before anyone says I'm being unreasonable, let me say that lots of people in the Distopia redit subgroup also said the same, that I was being unreasonable, but as things progressed, they started changing their minds and seeing what I meant. So, yeah. Obviously, at this point, I'm not the only one who feels this way. I mean this with all due respect. You don't have to like me for this post. Frankly, I don't care really if you do or don't. I'm sorry that sounds so harsh, but I'm one to tell it like it is, and frankly, if you're experience has been better, then that's wonderful! Awesome! But mine's been anything but good. That's all I'm saying, take it or leave it.
Well, considering that you ahve never had any good experiences over the last few years, I'd say, we're just going to ignore you. If you don't like the app that badly, then take it off of your phone and go shove it. I'm also one to say it like it is, so there you go. The pap rocks, the dev is still a minor until the age of 21, and if he is going for a programing degree, and his work and or school won't let him release it, there i snot much we can do at this point in time.
THe app on testflight is free. People do have lives outside of school etc.. I do think it has been in beta forever and I would be sad to see this app go away if it never comes out, but that being said its the devs choice what happens with the app. You mention being a dev if your not satisfied with this one go make a better one then. People love to toss stones, but never want to build a house.
I've been using this app for over a year now and while it's great; I do think it's time it got out there on the app store
I'll probably go to either bacon reader or apollo if nothings come out by the end of the year.
I get it; he's in school but he should have thought about that before making an app. Yes test flight is free and so is the app but by that logic everyone would have the app and by the time it gets on to the store, no one will be excited about it at all as they'd already have it.
I signed up for a new account in old Reddit, it took me 2 days to get passed the stupid captcha and it finally took a few minutes ago. Now I can’t sign in through Dystopia, it keeps taking me back to the new version instead. What do I do now with my problem? How do I fix it?
I think that would help us to let you know what to do.
I think you should be able to go into settings and look fora button or something to do with accounts and you should be able to sign in there.
Old Reddit kicked me out, so I tried the other one again but now its asking for a 6digit authenticator app. Where can I find a app like this?
Have you already created an account with Reddit, and need help signing in? Or do you need help creating an account first?
This is my first time I have ever heard of this,so any help is greatly appreciated.
You should be able to sign in to the app now using your username and password?
1. Go to settings.
2. go to the account heading.3
3. Double tap on manage accounts and tap on add new account.
4. sign in using your username and password.
I'd then recommend looking at notifications and seeing what you can change there.
To sign up using Reddit, you go to https://www.reddit.com/register and for logging in, you should follow the comment above mine. It might be slightly different when getting Dystopia for the first time, but I don't remember very clearly so I could be wrong.
Hopefully that helps!
