Trying to select a particular tone for WhatsApp messenger

Hi, I created to tones namely a ringtone and a notification tone.
I assigned the ringtone which works perfectly.
I also assigned the notification tone to my messaging app which works perfectly.
However, when I tried to assign that same notification tone to WhatsApp, I can’t find it in the list of tones that I can select.
Any idea why this is? Thanks,

you can only do apple's tones, not custome tones you made. I know, sucky, but there you go. Perhaps send what's app feedback about this. I believe I already did this 2 years ago when I found this out.
