I am using this feed reader for years now. it doesn't have that many features, but it is very customizable, very lightweight and launches in an instant. Additionally, it works perfect with Voiceover.
I like it very much. The only thing that troubles me since years is that I can't get it to refresh automatically when I am switching to it, it always must be done manually.

I have several news apps on my ipad. And a couple are RSS. feeders. But, the one I use 100% of the time is Google News. It works wonderfully with Vo. has rotor actions, and is very easy to use. Plus it's free. And I've just scratched the surface on what Google News has to offer.
I switched to that from Apple News and I haven't looked back and/or regretted it!

Are Google News and Spectrum News. Spectrum News is mostly focused on local news so best if you have Spectrum in your area. They have an election tracker going today so I'll probably be using that tonight.

I also use the NPR app occasionally, but that's a bit different from the others, since it doesn't carry other sources, have weather or other localized information.

I tried Google news for a hwile but found that the Apple News app worked better and gave much the same info. You can also customize the app to follow certain channels or topics.

If you are in the U.S., however, the NFB Newsline app is the place to go. They offer hundreds of periodicals, national and local newspapers, etc. to which you can subscribe for free. The updated app now comes with a slimmed down version of the NFB Reader app for performing OCR from the camera or documents on your phone. There are also weather alerts, shopping information if you like, and more.

NFB has done a great job with its latest update.

While not a news reader, Dolphin EasyReader has a newspaper section similar to nfb newsline with newspapers outside the US. It also has a book reader like Voice Dream.

I have used the NFB Newsline mobile app for a couple years or so and love it. I just updated to version 3.0, with the free version of KNFB Reader. Somebody actually demonstrated KNFB Reader to me at a conference a few years ago and handed me a Braille brochure to keep. At the time I thought it was too expensive and didn't get it. But not long after I got my iPhone I read the app entry on here, and it sounded pretty good. So I grabbed myself a copy and found it to be quite good. But I'm a bit confused about the version of KNFB Reader that is bundled with this update to Newsline.
