iOS and iPadOS

Hello everyone. For those who have an iPhone 11 or newer or iPad 2018 or newer, do you think it's safe to update to IOS 14? I have those devices and have been waiting a bit to update... please let me know if you can.

Thank you so much :-)

If that is still a problem, I'll wait until they fix it. Life is slow enough, and there isn't a thing in 14 I really care about.

All of the accessibility bugs in iOS 14 are still present in iOS 14.0.1, which is the current shipping release. If you've waited this long, I would personally recommend waiting a little longer for some of these issues to be resolved before updating.

I've been holding off but it's unfortunately about to happen to my iPad. I kind of broke the screen and it's getting replaced which unfortunately means IOS14. At least I didn't break my phone.

The feature I'm about to mention doesn't affect everyone, but when it does there's no easy fix. For some of us, VoiceOver loses focus in native apps such as the mail and photos app, and in share sheets, and external apps like Facebook. I've needed sighted assistance to get around this more times than I can count. If like me your sighted assistance is scarce' I'd definitely wait.

I don't mean to sound rude at all, sorry about it, but I just don't get what's with ya'll. There will never be an entirely bug free release with any software of this scale, you know, and to me and many others, 14 seems to be the most solid, stable and bug free release since like iOS 5 or something. I acknowledge the seriousness focus issue, although I've never had it happen, but doesn't restarting VO fix it, if nothing else?

I have an iPhone 11 and agree that iOS 14 works extremely stable and fast. no issues with slow keyboards and focus issues in Safari.

Since IOS 14.0.1, there's been this problem with trying to send "ONLY" I-Messages, not SMS texts to people. I've already tried turning off/signing out of I-Message, turning off/signing out of FaceTime, and still know dice!
The crazy thing is, I can still receive I-Messages without issue.
If ya see a "No Name -- Searcing" in the edit box, that's how ya know you've got the problem.

No issues with my iPad Mini running iPad OS.

There's at least one other person with this same problem, though most aren't having this weird mess with their iPhones.

If I absolutely must, I'll do an iPhone Erase And Reset (not a Factory Reset), though only as a last resort.

Wow... very mixed reactions... I'll wait until another release of IOS 14 comes out. Thanks to those who have responded so far... keep them coming. :-)

The iOS is working well for me. No issues. Unlike unlucky 13 which was a major blank. Using 11 pro max and the battery is good. Hope it will continue when I my pre-order of 12 pro comes. iOS 12.1 suppose to be in the phone. I am sorry for those who have bugs but I am not.

The only annoying bug for me is the html focus bug.

The others are easy enough to deal with.
