Update to the latest Facebook

Hi all. For once, I'm not asking something. I just thought I'd let you know, if you weren't aware. In the newest Facebook, released I think two days ago, you can once again, poke, people. Now I don't know how to start the poking war, but I obviously can respond accordingly. Ah, brings me back to the old aim warning wars. My guy used to out of nowhere start doing it to be a bonehead. :) Anyway thought some of you might be interested.

Hi, I hadn't noticed that, thanks! I had noticed that Most Recent now actually sorts posts chronologically once more, not sure if that came back with v. 252 but if it had begun to work sooner then I'd missed it. On iPhone go to the Facebook Menu tab (bottom right of the screen), then tap on the Top Shortcuts button in the list, and directly under the Memories button is the Most Recent button. This is saving me many hours on Facebook and is probably my favourite feature.

Hello everyone, the fact we can display the most recent news first, has been put back in place, since some versions, I don't remember the number of the version, but it was enough long time! For me, it's also the functionnality I prefer in facebook for ios!!!!!! Have a nice day! Carine from France!

Search for poke from the Help Centre, then click on how can i poke someone. There should be a pokes page link. Click on that and search for friends to poke. It's a long process, but I myself would appreciate any tips on how to do it faster.

I never knew you could change it to most recent first. But here's something else. For the most part, the meems are now read. You'll still get a photo which contains text, but I'd say it's one out of eight I've come across. Oh and the cool thing is when Facebook accessibility said to wait because of the crashing issue, I was the one who commented asking for the poking to return. Maybe that was coming all along but, I like to think I had a hand in it. :)

Also, the crash that occurred while scanning the newsfeed is fixed! YAY!!!!
And they also brought back the text reading in memes! Now a meme says:
photo: image may contain (whatever it contains) possible text that says...

I still can't find where peoples' birthdays are in the app. That drives me crazy as with my schedule it is much harder to access Facebook through the web due to time constraints.

They have brought them back. I found them. Go to the friends tab & click on it. Then navigate by heading & you'll see a birthdays heading. Then you can swipe to see whose special day it is & do all the things you normally do with birthdays! I found it weird @ 1st, but now that I'm used to it, I like it! And I hope they leave it there. Hope this helps.

you are welcome. I don't use the facebook site on my ipad because it's less accessible than the app. in my experience @ least

So I went to the More tab at the bottom and hit top shortcucts. I selected friends and tried to navigate by headings. I didn't get anything about birthdays. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi All,
No I can't use this either. Under friends there is only 1 heading about people you may like and nothing else. Dawn, what version are you on I thought I was on the latest V252 but that is in the UK so maybe still waiting for new update.
