iOS and iPadOS

HEY there:
It's been a while since the releasing of ios 13, however, I cannot find more information about those new gestures for copying, cutting, pasting etc, things like three fingers double tap, hold and slide up.
Does someone managed to make them work»
any diferences on an iphone or ipad?
or they are just ghost gestures...
thanks and excuse my english.

Only new gesture that I nkow of

The only new gesture that I know of is new as of 13.2. That is where to bring up a context menu on the iPhone, you now select the app that you want to use and triple tap with one finger. They took it off of the actions menu for flicking up and down.

Custom Gestures

I believe the gestures you speak of are only available if you set them up as custom gestures in Voiceover's settings screen.

Hi,
I believe you are Referring to The new Pinch Gestures apple introduced with iPad O S.To My knowledge, these are Only for sighted users At present, though you may be able to implement something like them in the new commands section of the VoiceOver settings.

THE gestures I am talking

THE gestures I am talking about can be found on settings, accessibility, voiceover, commands, gestures, if I am right. There are headings like: three fingers hold and slide that contains gestures like: double tap with three fingers hold and slide up, down, left or wright. Some are asigned to copy or paste, among others, but anybody seems to know how to perform them or use them. You can even change its asigned action, but the gestures are not recognized.

It is available; but sadly it’s not work…

When iOS13 is released, I play around to see the new feature for )Voiceover(, I found it and I’m happy; but sadly it’s not work even now, even when I change the command it’s not work.
The real question is this a Bug for a new feature?

Hi.

Hi.

These gestures do in fact exist, and work pretty well once you get used to them. Admittedly, I'm primarily using an ipad, so the bigger screen size might help.

Go into a text area and type a small amount of text and experiment, or, I think go into mail and delete a message or something and practice with undo and redo or something.

The way it works is double tap with three fingers and leave them on the screen until you hear the three tones you'd get with a double tap and hold, then slide up or down or left or right without lifting your fingers.

The trick, sometimes, can be getting the sound. If you don't hear it after a few seconds, lift your hand and try again.

Also, you don't get a lot of feedback as to whether it's worked or not, so you have to check that whatever you tried to undo or paste or whatever actually happened.

Hey everyone.
I just wanted to let you know that the ios gestures for copying and pasting are the same as long as your rotor is set to edit in a text field

THANKS for your reply! I tried with no luck, but... maybe they are only available for iPad users??
Could you confirm they work as well on an iphone??
Using an iphone xs here and no sound or feedback at all when doing what you suggested...

You know, I swore I tested

You know, I swore I tested this on an iPhone before I sent it, but I can't get it to do it now, either, although keep in mind the iPhone is still on 13.1 something when the iPad's on 13.2. Also, I'm using a 7.

What I was able to do was change swipe right with two fingers and swipe left with two fingers to undo and redo on the phone, so the commands definitely work, although I'm not sure about the three finger tap and hold gestures.

I have no idea what you'd set copy and paste to, although they're not quite as important, since you can get to them through the edit menu. Undo and redo gestures, on the other hand, means you can turn off shake to undo and still reverse actions in places like the mail app.

This might be one for accessibility@apple.com to sort out.

THEN that must be the answer,

THEN that must be the answer, they are only available under iPad OS.
IN fact I am not so interested on using those gestures for copy, paste, redo, etc, I'd like to use them for other actions. I submited this behaviour to Apple trhought the feedback app in case has not been done before.
