Quite a few iOS 13 woes, but Bluetooth problems are at the top.

Hi Everyone,
Just updated today. Now the weird thing is, when I pair the IPhone 8 to my bluetooth speaker, and let's say I'm running TuneIn for example, well, the TuneIn stream goes to the speaker, but Voiceover remains on my phone. Not only does it remain, but the volume just gets incredibly irratic. It will be blairingly loud and then go to almost silent, no matter where I have volume adjusted in the roter. Why won't VoiceOver go along with the stream to my speaker?
Oh and here's another strange one. When I pair with the Bose frames, both Voiceover and stream can be heard.
I should probably do a second post on this but, here goes. When I restart my phone there is no VoiceOver, just faint clicks so I can't enter passcode without visual assistance. This is very troubling.
Anyone have comments on either issue?
Thanks in advance.

On the bluetooth issue.

It has been a while, but I think I remember having a rotor choice for where speech went when connected to bluetooth back in the first public beta, you might look out for it. I don't know if I had to enable it or it just appeared by default. Quite a handy feature for being able to hear your phone and control music playing on your stereo or whatever. I'm waiting for 13.1, personally.

Well I found the "audio destination" in rotor, and even though it shows as selected, it is not showing up on the rotor. Woe is me. Come on iOS 13.1.

The volume is a bug

Hi. i've heard from others, they want voice over to be on the phone and the Bluetooth device have the content. If i were doing this, I'd want Voice Over to be on the phone. No one needs to hear the "Double tap to open". Anyway, also with the volume of speech, it can be a bit strange. I also have posted how when notifications coem in, they can be blaringly loud, then go down again. This should be fixed in IOS13.1 Sorry i'm not of more help. Now if only I can stop my phone from switching to the speaker not the ear piece when it's right against my head, or being loud as heck.

Audio destination

Hi!
I can confirm that the audio destination is not in the rotor although it is showing as selected in settings. I experienced this very scenario yesterday, where a YouTube video I was listening to on a bluetooth speaker was very soft, so I turned up the volume, which of course resulted in VoiceOver being turned up as well and entertaining my neighbors with "actions available."
By the way I have turned off the option to automatically switch to speakers because it tends to do that while the phone is right next to my ear and it screamed at me several times. I wonder if this can actually damage one's hearing. Then again, if it could I guess it wouldn't have passed quality control.
Best,
Endarion

Blasting Speakers

I am also experiencing the ear piece speaker just blasing out my ears when it's supposed to have switched from the phone speaker to the ear speaker. Somehow I don't think the sensor is working correctly during transition. I am using the iPhone XS with iOS 13.0. I sincerely hope this gets resolved. I can't believe how incredibly loud phone conversations become. It's actually painful and this is comeing from someone who enjoys her music loud enough so that people a few streets away can listen along with me. LOL.

I have the first problem and HATE it

Oh my gosh, I have this same problem!!!!!!!! I can't stand the fact that system sounds and voiceover are routed through the phone's speaker, and streams (tune-in, etc.) are routed through the speaker like they should be. I could maybe deal with VO being routed through the phone's speaker, but I don't like the fact that you can't adjust the volume of VO as it speaks, so if for example let's say you have the bose soundWear companion wearable speaker around your neck, and you're listening to something and your phone is across the room charging. Even if voiceover volume (rotor) is at 100 percent, it sounds like it's whispering at you. I wish it would be like it was in iOS 12 where everything comes through the bluetooth speaker, I've missed countless notifications because of this bug (I've been a tester since the first DEV beta of 13 came out). I've submitted this to apple time and time and time and time again, and still no fix! I'm disturbed by this. If not for having to use iTunes to do a restore and go back to iOS 12, I'd go back in a minute. I'm finding I'm not enjoying listening to media on a bluetooth speaker as much as I used to because of the fear of missing notifications and also because of the erratic volume issues. I wish they'd fix it, or at least add a toggle switch of where people want there sounds for those who like it, it's driving me to drink (figuratively). :)
