Accessibility Comments

This application is not completely inaccessible; however, it is almost impossible to use because of the unlabeled buttons and a lack of a back button for returning to another menu.
The home screen of the application can not be accessed when first setting up your headphones because there are a few tutorial pages in the way.
These cannot be swiped past by using the three-finger swipe on your screen. They will only move if you turn Voiceover off and swipe yourself. After this you will find the home screen which is not accessible.

It has two unlabeled buttons which are for settings and something else.
The other button does not do anything besides bring up a basic start up guide for what the headphones actually do and how to control them.
This happens when you press either of the two buttons as if they were both the same button.
The only reason I know the other button brings up settings is that a sighted person looked at my device and told me what was actually changing on the screen.
After that you have the battery level for the headphones which actually does read.
Then you have the equalizer and hearing aware features.
The hearing aware feature can b adjusted but you can not go back from that menu and have to restart the app by force closing it.
The equalizer can not be adjusted because it is a ball on the screen.
It is meant to be moved by the finger and change how much base and vocals are present in your sound.
This feature of the app must be made in to a picker which we can adjust.
The settings part of the app has the ability to update your firmware, therefor we can not even do that well.
This app is not easily used and parts of it do not work.
The firmware update process is also not accessible and does not report progress.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads a few page elements.

Button Labeling

No buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

Some parts of the app are accessible with VoiceOver, but not enough to make it usable.

Other Comments

This application is made to control the Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless, which are a truly stellar pair of truly wireless earbuds.
The product is great even the touch controls work very well.
The app is where this company seriously fails.
They are unwilling to make any changes and I have called them through their phone number for tech support and other related enquiries, they have taken down my complaint, but I never got a response.
This company is unwilling to make a very easy change to a very simple app which would make it totally accessible for Voiceover.
Their phone number is
18777366434

I have also tweeted at them with my issues and did not get a response.
Please help if possible this product is amazing, but the app is lacking in accessibility.

Has anyone bought these headphones that I have.

I’m wondering how things might be different if you have a bit of sight. Maybe they’re more usable then.

Has accessibility of this app improved since the latest release

I am going to leave a negative review for H release that does not address accessibility so I’m counting on momentum owners to test this out for me! Thank you

All still the same over here.

Nothing has changed with the accessibility of this application. It is still the same as it was. It would also be a better idea to contact support for that company, don’t just post reviews. They have a support website and I have made a few complaints on there.

Does the Ambeo use this same app?

I was considering getting an Ambeo because of the binaural recording, but I believe it uses this same app for some of the customization stuff. Can anyone confirm this? Regardless, I'll also register complaints with Sennheiser customer service, many voices are better than one. :)

It is a different app and it is developed by a different company

There is a bit of hope. They use completely different apps. They may operate the same way though. The company that develops the one for your headset is Apogee Electronics Corp,

I would really like to know if that app was actually accessible. I could make an app directory for it on here if it is or is not.

Three new inaccessible sliders

By Diego Garibay

They are meant to allow you to access and adjust the base mid and high granular levels. They are right there. They were not made accessible and therefore we cannot use them. These should literally be pickers and that’s it.
