Description of App:
VocalEyes uses artificial intelligence to make the world more accessible for the blind and visually impaired.
Created at MIT, VocalEyes uses proprietary computer vision algorithms to:
• Identify Objects
• Read Text
• Describe Environments
• Label Logos and Brands
• Detect Faces
• Classify Emotions
• Recognize Ages
• Distinguish Currency Denominations
VocalEyes achieves all this using an intuitive and buttonless interface. Just tap the screen once and VocalEyes will return an audio response describing the scene.
Best of all, VocalEyes is and will remain entirely free.
Our mission is to offer the experience of sight through sound.

Rather confusingly for an app which is described as having only one button, VoiceOver reports that there are several unlabelled buttons on the screen. However, only one of these appears to do anything . If you find it and use it, the app will capture and report on whatever your device's camera is looking at. So far, it has done mostly okay in my very limited testing, but the frustrating user experience isn't going to earn this app a permanent place on my iPhone for now.
