Taken Down
I resubmitted this app with more detailed accessibility info as the last version of this entry seems to have been removed. I can’t remember why, but here it is again.
Accessibility issues
Are the devs of this app open for suggestions regarding accessibility?
It’s worth a shot
The devs seem pretty receptive to all feedback, so I’d say it’s worth a try. I contemplated contacting them myself (maybe I did i can’t remember) but didn’t really know how to word it.
Does not appear to be available in the US app store
When I clicked on the app store link it told me this app is not available in my app store. I am going to search for it in the app store rather than using the link above.
Weirder Still
When I access the app in my purchases it comes up just fine, but when I click the link it doesn’t work. It also doesn’t come up in the search. This is really weird.
Bad News
I decided to look into what was going on with Dyrii today, and got some bad news. The devs have decided to stop selling the app on the AppStore. They didn’t remove it all together so I can still use it, but it’s really sad, at least in my opinion. I have heard that there’s a Mac version and I don’t know if they’ve stopped selling that one as well, but the mobile one is definitely gone. I thought about looking for an alternative, but there just doesn’t seem to be an app that suits my journaling needs like Dyrii does.
Accessibility Comments
Quite a lot of buttons are labeled strangely, but not to the point where it’s hard to figure out what they do.
Formatting can be a little clunky as well, especially when typing with braille screen input, but has improved greatly.
Selecting photos and videos is completely inaccessible as VO doesn’t read the photos or the camera button. Sketching and the interface for handwriting doesn’t work either.
Selecting intensity for mood/health is inaccessible.
