Description of App

Nebula is a spaceship battle arcade game that will provide you a new
experience. With many features such as 3D audio, device movements and
accessibility for the visually impaired.

- Gaming Modes: Campaign**, Free and Multiplayer.
- 3D audio*, allowing play without vision.
- 48 enemies spaceships.
- Evolution of the game story in each level.
- Upgradeable spaceship.
- Detailed tutorial.
- 9 chapters and 36 levels.

*For a better experience, use your headphones.
**Chapter 2-9, need to be purchased via a single In-App Purchase.

During the last great inter-galactic war, the Spacial Defense Force
created the Nebula project, an army of defense and attack composed by
2000 spaceships. The project got it's name due to the difficult the
pilots had to perform combats in space, as they face huge nebulas that
limited their vision and scrambled their systems. Because of this,
engineers have invested heavily to develop a technology that would allow
us to hear other ships and unknown objects.

Accessibility Comments

Some parts of the app such as the tutorial and start of chapters are self voicing, the game was designed with the blind in mind, however it has images, making it possible for us to play with all sighted players, and it will give no advantages to them because sometimes during the gameplay it will be quite hard for them to see, making it necessary to listen just like we do to progress.
Voiceover works with the app at all times, so you don't have to turn it off during gameplay.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

This is the first game from this company, called Gray Company. I've talked to one of it's developers for quite some time, and I assure you guys this is just their starting point, they are interested in making many other games(at least one more until the end of the year).
These developers are really open to new suggestions and improvements for the game, The updates will take some time to be released, but this will surely get updated in the near future with your suggestions in mind.
Many of you will read the app's description and say: One more space game for the blind... But consider the following: Many games created with the blind in mind are easy to play, you finish it in an hour or two.
This is Completely different, in this case the developers are trying to bring the challenges of the games which they have played, games for the sighted. and trust me, the game isn't going to go easy on you. You might take an hour to beat a level, because just like everything else in life, success comes with practice, and you'll surely need it! And consider that there are 36 levels, the entire game costs $1.99 usd for hours of fun! In my opinion this is a steal! I really hope you guys like the game and spread the word about it.
The game also comes with a tutorial to get you started, but I can help you guys if you have difficulties just post here. Have fun!

The concept is good, how ever I can't see a way to skip the intro should I need to play again because of loosing a life. Also I think there are some spelling mistakes in the main screen of the game but I can't remember off hand.

Hi Billy, we already reply your e-mail. Thanks one more time. Seems that iPod has a bit less memory than iPhone and iPad, we're studying this.

This week we'll release an update with all feedbacks we received. Level 1 will get more power ups and the initial shot speed will be increased. If you have any report, send us by mail via We are looking for every comment you guys are posting in the internet.

Ok. I found some areas where spelling is an issue. I should not talk as mine is atrocious, but anyway, in the hanger screen and the tutorials button the word "attack" is misspelled, I think, and campaign on the main home area where you select your game is I think misspelled, someone can verify that as I can never remember where that darned g goes. Lol!

Can't wait to update the game and be blessed to all

I hopeto do a podcast on the game when I get back and have my thesis done.

Submitted by billy lei on Sunday, August 24, 2014

Awesome I cannot wait for the new update! Thank you so much I absolutely love that game

Submitted by Ken Downey on Monday, August 25, 2014

I worry that if you give additional power ups and increased the initial shooting speed, the game will get to easy. Part of the charm of this game right now is how difficult it is, and I hate to see that get spoiled. what you might do is add difficulty levels, and the harder difficulty level is will determine how many points you get for completing the chapter in the campaign. Also, I, and others on this list, do voiceover acting. If you would like any volunteers or voices in the game, just let us know and I know that I for one would be happy to do it.

This game is so cool I am on chapters 2 now it's really difficult I even didn't know how to beat it

The game will not become too easy. The chapter one will have some little adjustments, almost imperceptibles. The game have nine chapters and I guarantee that if you don't spend your attribute points in a good way, things will turn so hard to complete the epic story. Thanks for your feedback!

Hey Billy, just an advice, I recommend you to spend your attributes points in health and power, things will become harder. :D

Hello, the game is great, however, on the tutorial level chapter 4, when he talks about power ups and battle, the game crashes over in an iPhone 4s, with the latest iOS 7.1.
Thank you

Submitted by Will on Monday, August 25, 2014

Will this also work for android in future?

Submitted by Clare Page on Wednesday, August 27, 2014

Hi! Like another poster above, I also have a crashing problem in the tutorial, on my iPhone 4S running the latest version of IOS. When I go into the part of the tutorial where it talks about power-ups and we do a fake battle, the app crashes within about ten seconds at the most, whether I attack my enemy or not. I read earlier in this thread that this app has a tendency to crash on the iPhone 4, but is that also generally the case on the iPhone 4S as well? If this game can't be played on the 4S without crashing, please let me know, and I'll delete this app til I upgrade my iPhone, something I may sadly have to do anyway as I currently can't complete the tutorial, let alone play the actual game. I'll keep the Nebula Game for at least a little while to see if there are any updates which stop the crashes on older iPhones, but I may have to delete this app if the crashes don't stop while I'm still using my 4S: it's a great pity we have all this crashing, as the Nebula Game sounds very promising, even though we've all been warned that it's not easy.

Hi Clare! About the crashes, this week will be realesed a new update, where we was able to improve the performance of the game in all devices. The game will be working perfectly in your device as our tests are showing us. Thanks for playing Nebula. Please, contact us for anything.

Hi Kerby! The Campaign mode has the chapters and levels, the first chapter it's free and the another 8 chapters cost US$2. You must pass the chapter one to find the in-App. The Campaign has too all the storyline of the character. The Free mode ends only when you die, the intention it's you go far enough, make a lot of score before die. You can try to enter in the rank in game center pontuation.

Nebula Game version 1.1 comes with some fixes and improvements.
- Bug Fixes
- Multiplayer restart automatically
- Improvement of memory usage

Submitted by Clare Page on Wednesday, September 10, 2014

I sincerely hope that among the bug fixes in the new version of the Nebula Game there are no more crashes. I uninstalled this game from my iPhone 4S because it always crashed at the same point in the tutorial, which made it impossible to continue with the game as far as I was concerned, but if there are no more crashes in this game I might consider reinstalling it.

I found that it crashed a lot when I first installed it, but i rebooted my iPod, and that helped a lot. now it only crashes occasionally.

Thank you, Bruno, for hanging out here and answering questions and keeping us updated. much appreciated. I'm wondering if I can play Chapter One overr again. Somehow I have no available points when I go to the hangar. I'm onn Chapter 2 and it is not easy. I lose 15 lives in one minute, and my shots are not fast enough. I'd love to get some power shots and some shielding. Thanks for such a challenging game! .

Hi All,
This sounds like a great game, but...
I had just downloaded it from the App Store and was half way through the tutorial when it started bugging me to Authenticate my Apple ID and Password. Is this normal for an App to ask for the Apple ID? I don't have thousands of Apps, but I can't think of another where I have been asked for my Apple Credentials from within the App.
The Dev seems very engaged with the AppleVis Community and I mean no disrespect but I would like some affirmation that this is a secure thing.
Many thanks for your advice.

I'v e had this happen with other apps. Just restart the app as this should not have happened. The app i very much secure. Maybe it was just a bug in he app store someware.

That is not a specific function of the game. It is the Apple game center.

All sorted. Thank you for taking the time to reply.
Have a happy day.

Having uninstalled Nebula Game from my iPhone 4S a couple of months ago because it kept crashing, I have now reinstalled it, as I have a more powerful iPhone now, an iPhone 6 running IOS 8.1. I am hardly an expert at Nebula Game yet, but I have managed to get through all the sections of the tutorial, and I've also played several games in Free Mode without having any crashes at all, and I'm relieved about that. I will probably give myself a good deal more practice in Free Mode before I buy Campaign Mode, as I am still a beginner and still lose lives rather quickly in Free Mode. But we were warned this game wasn't going to be easy, so I'm definitely going to keep playing it and hope my scores will get better.

Multi-player mode doesn't work, and hasn't done so at all. At least, this is my experience. I completed Chapters 1 and 2 of Campaign Mode but when I attempt to continue with Chapter 3, the game crashes. I reported this to the developers a long time ago. However, I can play in Free mode without any issues but I hope these other issues can be resolved.

Submitted by charles on Thursday, March 24, 2016

Posts have stated that players have gotten to, and even through, level 2. I was under the impression that you need to get the campaign mode to go beyond the first level. If this is not the case, why not stick with the free mode and go as far as you can? I know that I'm missing something. What are the benefits of the campaign mode. The price seems very fair, but I need to clear up the confusion before I buy. Also, concerning crashes, should this game work in all modes using an iPhone 6 with 128 gigs of storage that is running firmware 9.3 that just came out the other day? Thanks.

While playing multy player mode with a friend we've found that after round1 you can no longer hear the ship sound. Although it is kind of fun playing hide and seek perhaps that if fixed there could be 2 multy player game modes? Just a thought.

Submitted by JeffB on Tuesday, December 6, 2016

Nebula got an update today the campain is now free and they fixed some bugs. The spaceship being quiet at times dorring multy player games still seems to be there. However the bug where you wouldn't have speech seems to have been fixed.
