Kotaku Gaming App of the Day May 18, 2011!

Come play Stem Stumper, puzzle game for the iPhone and iPod Touch you can play with your eyes closed. A dynamic layered soundtrack guides Mimea the vine through 100 brain-teasing levels. Use sling shots, sprinklers and Angry Acorns to open paths for her to grow. Use the right combination to rack up points.

The inaugaral game of Ananse Productions, Stem Stumper is built from the ground up to be enjoyed by both the iPhone’s burgeoning blind community and fully sighted players around the world. Stem Stumper is fully integrated with VoiceOver, Apple’s builtin screen reader for iOS devices. And if you think you can solve our puzzles with a blindfold on, we included a sound only “sonar” mode.

Accessibility Comments

The game has been built from the ground up to be playable through only sound.
We've made sure it works well with VoiceOver. It should also be accessible
to those with mobility issues (although with VoiceOver on, double tapping is
required). It should also be playable by those with hearing impairments
since we have visual cues for all our information.

#1 Fun and Addictive Game!

I'm having trouble putting down my IPod. At the moment, I'm frustrated (in a good way) because I've been stumped on one level. Good thing for a game to do. :)

This game is great! At first, I didn't think it would be a good game but, after buying it, I love playing with it. I am playing this game on my new White iPhone4, and it is great. The sounds are awesome, and I love the gamePlay. Nice game they got here. For the price, it is great!
