Apple Watch Confirmed to Have VoiceOver, Zoom, and Dynamic Type Support

I look forward to the podcasts as I will not be getting an apple watch for the time beeing. I'm saving up for an upcoming trip to Florida for the nfb 2015 convention, so right now that comes first.

I am very excited for the apple watch and do plan to buy one.

Eventually I will buy one, maybe over the summer. I kind of figured that the watch would have vo and other access features. I'm looking forward to the watch being available later on this month!

I am very excited that we no longer have to worry about the accessibility of the watch and that Apple decided to officially remark on it before preorders begin. it might be a race to see who will upload a podcast first. My fiancé is flying into town the weekend that its coming out for our wedding shower, so I don't think I will be making any podcast then, but I hope to perhaps record a brief interaction with the watch in stores before then. We will see. I'm curious, who els plans to preorder before seeing the watch in person?

Hi, I really want an Apple watch, and will most likely have to get the cheapest version as I'm currently on a fixed income. will it still bost the same software features as the others, or will I be missing out on anything quite important? thanks all.

hi is anyone seeing it when in the store and who can let us know how voiceover performs?
i.e. would anyone be going to the store between april 10 and 24 to see and try the watch with VO to let us know how you glance, how interact, how everything works?

Might I ask who originally found the updated official blurb on the apple technology page? I think that they should be thanked for such a great find. Wee have all been scavenging for this info for months, if not longer.

As far as the poster who asked about the cheapest model, there are no technical differences between the watches, and the hard where differences are mainly cosmetic. I am also getting the sport model, the silver one with a white band. By the way, I believe they are calling the other metal color gray, but according to some eye balls that I asked it looks more black. Actually, even if price was not an issue I think I would go for the cheapest one. It is a good bit lighter then the other options, which is very important to me since these are not the smallest watches. Also the screen is made of glass, not sapphire, which I think is better, even though glass is the lower budget option. The reason that I think I would rather have glass is that it might scratch easier, but it will probably be more resistant to shattering. I don't want my watch face to be scratched, but I really don't want it to shatter. The final reason that I would rather have the sport is that, from what I hear, the stainless steel version is very shiny and is a magnet for finger prints. I don't want to have to worry about smudges on my watch, and I think a slightly less flashy look would be more for me.

I hope to see it in the store on friday and test out voice over. If I am able to do this I will report my experiences, although I can't make any promises because the ruff draft of a major paper is due that day. I am very interested to see what the experience of using voice over on the watch is going to be like.

The watch has Siri. It just is unclear whether or not Siri talks with feedback in this initial release. Perhaps they have updated the description with more information, but I for one am unsure at this time.

Weather or not siri talks we as voice over users will get an experience of speech output on siri, because voice over will read her reply. if this is the way it works it will be just like the original version of siri on the iPhone, which in my opinion was better then siri now. The coolest thing about siri on the watch is that we will be able to use her totally hands free. All you do is lift your wrist, say hey siri, and then she does the rest. A particularly useful thing when your walking around with a cane in the other hand.

It would be really cool if someone could go on the store. They could take in a pair of binaural microphones and give us a really good in the store experience on the Apple Watch when I first lunches. And how voice over works and sounds!
