Hello, Has anyone found a pair of bluetooth headphones with minimal or no noticeable lag while using voice over? I have yet to find one where the lag doesn't drive me crazy. Thanks.
I just purchased the Jabra T75 Elite Active ear buds, which have Bluetooth 5.0, and paired them with my iPhone XS. Besides the fact that I couldn't keep them, because they kept falling out of my ears, I absolutely loved these earbuds. I could be on a phone call and simultaneously shop or look up info , without any voiceover interpherence whatsoever. The sound qualities of music, TV media, books and phone calls is the very best I have ever experienced. My only problem was the fact that I couldn't keep them in my ears and couldn't justify their expense only to drop them on the floor every two minutes.
I own two other Bluetooth headsets of different tmodels, one is Bluetooth 4.1 and the other is 4.2. Both headsets are extremely frustrating to the point that I don't use them specifically when I interact with voiceover. One is used for music but the playlist is started before turning on the headset. The other single ear piece is used for travel and phone calls primarily.
It is my opinion that, a headset of practically any style will work great, but only if you have the 5.0 Bluetooth component.
In case you are interested, I have returned the Jabras and will purchase the Bose 700 within the next week or so. The Bose 700 is the upgrade from the Bose QC 35-2 model. Although these are standard style headphones and not the more discrete earbuds, I will have the Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, along with swipe touch controls for making adjustments. If I hadn't had the problems in keeping the Jabras in my ears, I certainly wouldn't have returned them, but I seriously cannot wait until I receive the Bose 700s. I currently use the Bose 15s, which are still a wired model and love them. I can't wait for the new upgrade.
The new SkullCandy Skull Crusher headphones work great. No lag. Bluetooth 5.0. These are a step down from the Bose 700 in call quality but call quality is still good.
A previous user said the titanium‘s had minimal lag, I would agree. I have been using titanium‘s for the last two years and they seem to support apples AAC codec. anything that supports eight AC should give you minimal lag regardless of the version of Bluetooth that it runs. The only other low latency S Kodak that is popular is the a PT – X – LL or low latency Kodak from QUALCOMM. if you Google AirPods latency, you will notice that the first generation of AirPods had a lag of 174 ms, the second generation got it down to 124, and the third is in the low 100s for AirPods Pro. I can attest to this as I own both tracks titanium‘s and AirPods Pro and I’m getting minimal lag from both. If the trekz air is cutting off Bluetooth like that, that makes me think that the company put in some extra power management feature. Can anyone confirm if this is also the case with the Aeropex?
