The last couple years have been big for iPhone.
In 2025, Apple introduced two brand new iPhone models: iPhone 16e, an entry-level model with most of the essential components of the more expensive iPhones of its generation; and iPhone Air, the thinnest-ever iPhone to date at the time. This year…

Welcome to the September 2026 installment of AnonyMouse's App Pick of the Month, where where each month I highlight a new or noteworthy app. This month's pick is Restaurant Rush: Cook & Serve.
September 2026 has been one of those months where choosing just one App Pick of the Month has been especially difficult. It has felt like one of the busiest months I can remember on AppleVis, particularly when…

iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available to customers on Friday, September 18, 2026. Ahead of the launch, Apple sent me an iPhone 18 Pro for review. While a full review will come once I’ve had the opportunity to live with iPhone 18 Pro for a while, I do have some initial impressions that I wanted to share.
First, and perhaps most noticeably, iPhone 18 Pro has what I would describe as a really big sound for its size. When compared side-by-side to iPhone 17 Pro Max—a…
Apple has today released tvOS 27 for Apple TV 4K (2nd generation and later).

Apple has today released watchOS 27 to the public. watchOS 27 is compatible with the Apple Watch Series 9 and later and the Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later.
Due to the inherent challenges of beta software testing on watchOS, our testing of watchOS 27 has been quite limited. That said, for VoiceOver users, there is at least one new bug that we are aware of and a handful of new features and improvements.
iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 were released to the public on Monday, September 14, 2026. This post contains a summary of new bugs and fixes impacting VoiceOver and Braille support that the AppleVis Editorial Team has independently validated during our use and testing of these releases.
The information contained in this post is compiled from our own use and testing of iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 during the beta period from June to September 2026; as well as from validated reports submitted by others…
15 years ago, I produced my first "What's New in iOS Accessibility" article. Every September since, I've been documenting what my testing of the betas has yielded. There are many welcome mainstream changes in this year's iOS 27, such as the upgraded Siri app, new parental controls, a slider to adjust Liquid Glass, further enhanced Apple Intelligence features, and much more. The new Siri has its own app, and coverage of it is beyond the scope of this article other than…
