Accessibility Comments

This iis not an app specifically designed for people with visual impairments. Turn off the grid in the settings menu and the camera's flash must be in the "on" position. This app could use a lot of improvement, but it's the best scan and read app that I've tried.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads all page elements.

Button Labeling

All buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver, but the interface could be easier to navigate and use.

Other Comments

The app is a bit on the expensive side. You'll need a lot of patience and remember that the app is far from perfect. Also, the page must be oriented correctly for the app to work.

I downloaded this app last night. I tried to scan something twice and I got an error that it didn't recognize anything. I shall turn the grid thing off in settings and change my camera flash to on, not automatic, as I had set it. How far away do you find you have to have the camera?

Version 1.1.8 of Prizmo has been released to the app store, with features specific to the iPhone 5 and iOS6. Aside from the compatibility improvements, the app also contains some bug fixes.

What's New in Version 1.1.8
• Support and optimizations for iPhone 5 display (4-inch)
• Support for new Privacy rules in iOS 6, now Prizmo requests access when it needs access to Contacts
• Fixed bug with Notepad style textviews causing the text to be too far from the lines.
• Fixed missing Retina image in the about screen.

I bought the app and would like to know how to scan several pages in the same file. After taking the first photo i don't find a way to take a second

Hi,
I have installed the new version, has anyone else found that the guided mode for finding the page keeps reporting that the page hasn't been found in different directions even when the phone is being held still?
I also find that the guided mode says the page is visible then instantly loses focus from the page.
I have also noticed that they seem to have removed the ability to take the picture with your voice.
I also can't work out how to delete the sample documents they have provided in the app.

Having said that I did use the app to get a very good scan of a letter about feeding your lawn and that is the first time I have ever got usable text from prizmo it didn't get all the text but probably got about 90 percent of it.
I still can't get the app to perform well with food packages.

the app has been slimmed down and simplified allot, they have removed all the buttons for cropping and rotating images etc.
