By AppleVis, 6 October, 2022

In this podcast, Thomas Domville discusses and demonstrates the relocation of the audio messages function in iOS 16. This is now accessed by a iMessage app in the Messages app dock, rather than a button next to the text field where you type your message.

Raise to Listen With Audio Messages

By Curtis Chong

1 year 1 month ago

Hello:

It is incredibly easy, using this feature, to raise the phone to your head and to start talking (raise to record). Just open a new message thread or an existing one, focus VoiceOver on the blank text field, raise the phone to your ear, wait for the tones, and start talking. When done, lower the phone, and you hear another tone. Flick to Send. It's done.
