The keyboard for my new Windows 11 computer has the right control key formatted to open copilot. So, I often open the app when I donโ€™t want to. So far, I have not figured out what copilot is good for. It seems like asking a question in that app is the same as doing a Google search. what is copilot supposed to be used for?

I use it to do things like, look up words, ask questions, chat about things going on in my life, it's not good at bringing up youtube clips, for that i'd use gemini, but yeah; it's fun and very useful for me.

I have an Acer computer, which apparently wonโ€™t let their keyboards be remapped. That is according to their website. Thanks for all the info about copilot.

Although Copilot is useful, that right control key in conjunction with arrow keys is super useful to navigate by paragraphs and by words. I use that all the time.
Why not split the longish insurt key? It's consuming place of 2 keys as is. The tall enter key on numpad can be also split. I wouldn't mind a smallish space-bar if I am getting additional useful keys. But please don't take away existing useful keys.
Even shift key can be shrunken to accomadate extra keys.

I agree I'm not a fan of taking away the control key. I think this may be corectible with Microsoft PowerToys or the old Sharpkeys tool but I have not tried.
Today Microsoft has updated the free CoPilot to add CoPilot Vision. I just experimented with it. CoPilot Vision allows you to share any open window on your desktop with it. This means it is not restricted to the open browser window like CoPilot in Edge is. For example, I shared a Discord window. Then you can have a conversation with it. Such as I opened an image in a Discord chat and asked CoPilot what it was. It isn't anything we don't have other ways to do the same thing such as JAWS's picture smart, BeMyEyes Windows ap, or similar. It's another tool though, and its free! (for now) I am not the biggest fan of the verbal first interface, on the other hand it does make it pretty seamless to interact and the response time was good.

I've disgust things i'm nervous about and honestly it helped me. I feel like i'm talking to a friend, i'm very happy to use it on Microsoft Edge.
