I'm not sure if this is the right forem to post this 2, since this is going to get complex, and end up dealing with multiple operating systems. My Rog Ally X, about 3 weeks ago, suddenly rebooted, and I found out from having used the ScribeMe app, that it rebooted into recovery mode.
I've since tried resetting it, both asking it to keep my files, and telling it to just wipe the system completely, and it ends up stuck on a screen with a cancel button.
I've attempted to contact Microsoft's Accessibility helpdesk, who pretty much won't touch it, because this is a handheld and not a PC, and they've instructed me to call Asus, which I've done, and their customer service is, in a nutshell, aweful. I'm thinking this may be a software issue, and not something I need to pay them to fix; however, reinstalling Windows/the Asus recovery file is seeming to be more of a process than I know what to do with.
If we're simply talking reinstalling Windows, I need help creating a bootable version of this using my Mac, which I've already read I'll need to do through Terminal, and this is something I rarely use. If we're talking the Asus recovery file, this is unfamiliar to me period, and I'm not sure what I need to do with that. Can anyone help walk me through any of this please?
