Voiceover not working properly (keyboard)

I have been using the voiceover on my iPod touch 5 iOS 6 for two months, and it has been working perfectly fine. Today, the keyboard started to not work properly. The double tap feature doesn't work on the keyboard, and every time I touch a letter, it gets inserted without double tapping. What can I do to fix this problem? Thanks a lot, Zaina

I guess you've turned on the touch typing mode. Just tap on any edit boxes and rotate the rotor to select Typing Mode, then flick up or down to choose the standard one back. Or you can be used to it. It's not difficult to use indeed. Just put your finger on the screen, navigate on the keyboard until your finger touches the right letter, finally leaves the screen. All characters are typed after you leave the corresponding button.

Use the rotor to select typing mode, then do a one finger flick up or down until you hear standard typing. Move the rotor so as to not change it accidentally.
