Dear AppleVis Community,
With the release of the software version 27 betas likely coming later today, we are asking that everyone please help us keep beta discussions on the site organized as much as possible.
Right now, discussion of betas--especially betas of major releases like software version 27--is fragmented. We often have several different threads going about the same beta and platform at any given time, for example iOS.
While there is nothing in and of itself wrong with having multiple different threads about a particular topic, it does mean that the discussion can become fragmented and harder to follow. It is also possible that the information or answer someone is seeking may very well already be present in an existing topic. Lastly, organizing beta discussion in centralized threads will assist our team with bug identification and reporting, when possible.
With this in mind, this year we are trying something new. For each beta during this cycle, we will be creating "megathreads" for each platform and beta. For example:
- iOS/iPadOS 27 Beta 1 Megathread
- macOS 27 Beta 1 Megathread
- watchOS Beta 1 Megathread
- Etc.
Participation in this effort is voluntary but would be very much appreciated. We ask that all beta-related discussion please take place in the platform-specific megathreads whenever possible. Doing so will help us keep all beta-related information organized and easy to find in one centralized place.
Important Notes:
- Participation in this initiative is voluntary.
- The AppleVis Editorial Team will not merge any beta-related (or any other) topics. In other words, if someone creates a thread for iOS 27 outside of the main discussion for whatever reason, our team will absolutely not take any moderation action solely because of that. The purpose of creating megathreads for betas is to keep information organized and centralized, but this is a community effort and people are not required to participate.
- When a new beta is made available, megathreads for the previous betas will be closed to further replies. User-created beta topics will remain open indefinitely so long as the discussion complies with our Forum Guidelines.
Thank you for your help, and happy Apple Keynote Day!

Perhaps you need to make a post where people can go instead of them making one?
That's the Plan 😊
Hi Holger,
This is definitely the plan. 😊 I am just waiting until the Keynote is over (or close to over) before getting those threads created.
