Hello Michael,
Thank you for your email. I have read it carefully.
I want to be clear about why I am concerned by your characterisation of the post as containing “sexually offensive content.” The post did not contain sexual imagery, sexual acts, or sexual commentary authored by me. It consisted of an AI-generated description of a still from a mainstream television series (The L Word), alongside contextual explanation of a widely circulated meme originating from lesbian communities themselves.
The purpose of the post was to demonstrate and evaluate AI image-description capability in response to a question from a blind user about whether AI systems can recognise and explain memes without prior context. It was an accessibility and assistive-technology discussion, not an attempt to promote or endorse the meme.
I fully accept that AppleVis may decide that references to dating, sexuality, or culturally specific memes — even when described neutrally and for analytical purposes — fall outside what you consider appropriate for the platform. That is a moderation boundary you are entitled to set.
However, describing the post as “sexually offensive” or “potentially harassing toward a particular people group” does not accurately reflect its content or intent, and I find that framing troubling.
Given this, I do not feel comfortable continuing to contribute material under these terms. Please proceed with removing the two blog posts I previously offered for publication.
Regards,
Cass Flux

A bit odd
I read both posts. The first I was a bit surprised it had been allowed. Whilst I had absolutely nno issue with it due to site rules I wasn't shocked that it at least got questioned. However, the 2nd one regarding framework which also seems to have vanished as far as I could tell had absolutely nothing in it to justify taking it down.
I took the second down myself.
As stated, I object to the way my work was described. I do not feel this moderation was proper and as such, am not willing to donate the results of my work.

I Stand By Our Decision
Hi all,
I 110% stand behind our decision to remove the post containing the description of the meme, because allowing its publication on our platform could create a hostile environment and be offensive to some in our community. We take seriously our commitment to make sure AppleVis is a safe and welcoming place for all, even when doing so requires taking a stand and making unpopular decisions.
