Wondering if i should get a touch

Other Apple Chat
Hi all. I was considering to buy an ipod touch. If i have the ipad and the phone, i'm wondering why I'd "need" one? I don't plan to upgrade my phone until there's no alternative, so any touch users, can you give me any reasons why you have that? Just feeling this out before i spend a ton of money. Thanks. it would be a good birthday present to myself but still :)

You shouldn't get the touch unless 1. you have the iPhone 4 and the iPad 3 because you won't get a faster device. Or 2. You want a 64 gig device for lots and lots of content such as podcasts or music.

Hi. Thanks for answering my question. yes i do have the iphone 4 and that's what i'm staying with for as long as i can. i mean the siri function would be neat, but is it worth 300 dollars worth it? Just wondering how much i'd need, like it etc. Thanks again for your answer.

Here's what I'm thinking... You will get a faster device than the iPhone 4 with the iPod touch. But, if your contract with your carrier is almost over you may get the iPhone 5 which will be faster than the touch if you are willing to renew it for another 2 years. The iPod touch with 64 gigs is $399 isn't it? I believe that the iPhone 5 with 64 gig is $399 if purchased with a 2 year contract so if you get the iPhone 5 you will have an even Better processor than the latest iPod touch. Also, keep in mind that siri requires some kind of connection to the internet to use so if you are out of network range of any wireless hotspot with the touch you are out of luck.

Hi. Hope I got your name right. if not I apologize. i'm not getting the iphone 5 for at least another year thoughthe upgrade is up in another month or so. Realizing how fast Apple puts out new things, i'm wondering if i should just wait. Thanks for your info.

Yes, it's bat and you are welcome. I'd wait until your contract is up and get the latest iPhone later on, as I said before, the iPod touch and the subsidized price of the iPhone 5 are the same and you will definitely have a faster processor with the iPhone and you may as well get the faster processor and GPS for the same price.

Hi all Personally I think the follow and I have read it, when someone thinks to get the famous iTouch the only reason is because don't want to be tide under 2 longer years carrier contract, they don't want to spend more money for data plan that brings the iPhone. However should you see what's the difference between both devices iPod touch vs iPhone. If you have the iPhone 4 should you have on mind what do you want and what do you need to do with the device. Each device require special apps for better funcionality Iphone comes with better processor 4S and 5 I5 and I6 IPhone comes with better camera improvement If you don't want to be under a longer contract I suggest to you first think about it before to take a final desition You can see the prices of iPhone 4S on ebay The prices runch about $250 / $350 with out contract and even factory unlocked still under apple garanty. Sorry if I said something wrong but just I wish the best option for you.

Hi Marko. i hope i got that right, if not i'm sorry, coffee hasn't kicked inyet, :)Anyway the iphone I don't care about. i'm not really impressed with the five, and though my contract is up in a month, I'm unwilling to give them for another phone that all it has is voice guided navigation, siri, and a better camera. sure the processor is faster, but for now, since i just had to replace this phone at 150, they will not get more money so soon. I'll hold off on as long as i can until the next phone comes out, or maybe even after that. The touch just seems pretty cool, and thought i might want to get it. Thanks for all of your answers, i'm leaning very hard on the idea of a no, not interested vote.
