Other Apple Chat
greetings, am off on vacation in a couple days or so. am going to need to use my iPad as a wireless hotspot. couple questions. firstly how many connections can a wireless hotspot maintain at any 1 time? secondly, if someone is using my wireless hotspot can i still use my iPad on the internet at the same time? what limitations are there for wireless hotspots?

You can still use you're iPad at the same time just make sure the hot spot is running.

Hi Daz, I have an iPhone 5 and an iPad Mini, both with personal hotspots. Here's what I know: 1. Be sure you first have the personal hotspot service enabled with your carrier. 2. You can have up to 5 devices connected to your hotspot at a time. I know from experience that at least four of those devices can be WiFi devices...I'm not sure if the fifth device needs to be connected through your Apple sync/charge cable or not. 3. You are able to use the internet on your iPad while someone is connected to the hotspot. Hope this helps, Michael
