By lelia, 12 August, 2014 Forum Other Apple Chat Hi I don't know what I'm talking about just to clarify. My niece says I can use an HDMI adaptor to hook my iPhone up to my HD tv and watch direct tv, is this true and if so what do I need to do? Thanks Lelia Options Log in or register to post comments Comments You need something like this You need something like this plus an HDMI cable, not included. http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter I find it expensive as hell. it is true! First you have to buy the Lightning Digital AV Adapter, which can be found from the Apple Store web site, and here is the direct link http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD826ZM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter. You also need to have an HDMI Cable. Once you have the Adapter, and HDMI you need to connect your Lightning cable to your phone, and the other end, which is the USB, to the adapter. Then, on the other side of the adapter, you will connect the HDMI cable and the other end to your TV HDMI port. Hope this helps! couldn't it be streamed with couldn't it be streamed with something like Google Chromecast?
