Why is the mac so jumpy?

Hi all. For some reason, at random this behavior happens. It happens in Mail and also on safari sometimes. I'll be in the middle of the a page and the focus goes to the toolbar. On in Mail it will send me to the recovered messages folder. I'm using a Macbook pro M1 chip. I'm on 12.1 Has anyone had this happen?

Possibly the trackpad commander

Hi Siobhan,
I have a hunch that this happened to me in the past. I think when I had VoiceOver’s trackpad commander enabled, I was accidentally brushing the trackpad while typing etc. and making VoiceOver jump.
So I disabled trackpad commander most of the time, as I don’t use it much anyway.
Of course I could be barking up the wrong tree entirely!

You might be right

Hi thanks for answering. I know when I touch the track pad it jumps, that makes sense, as i just did. dammit. What doesn't make sense is i'll be reading something ont he web, suddenly finding myself int he tool bar. Plus I use the track pad because I like flicking around. either way it's annoying as hell. Lol thanks for the help.
