Hello all.
I am sure this has been discussed way more than I may imagine.
I actually have been extremely busy so could not read everything on this issue.
So just wished a very short and real answer. Should I upgrade to Tahoe? I use safari for many of my web related tasks, chatgpt, youtube, general browsing. I use chrome for linkedin and for GSuite. VSCode for coding and that's pretty much all to it.
I mean to ask if Tahoe is any way worst than Sequoia as it is today?
Should I take the update?

If you experience a bug in Apple Beta Software, the most important thing you can do is to file a report in Feedback Assistant. Please do not assume that Apple is already aware of a bug or that your report won't make a difference; your report may provide crucial information, and submitting bug reports directly to Apple helps them reproduce and resolve the issue faster. The more reports they receive, the higher the priority Apple is likely to give to fixing the bug.
If you are using beta software, please use the Feedback Assistant on your device to submit feedback and bug reports. If you are using a public release, this blog post explains how to report the issue and what information to include.
In 2025, AppleVis launched the Community Bug Reporting Program with the goal of improving the quality and quantity of information we share with the community about bugs in Apple software releases. If you would like to contribute to this effort, please submit your reports via our Community Bug Report Form.
All reports shared with AppleVis must first be filed with Apple via Feedback Assistant. More information about the Community Bug Program is available here.

Looking for the same answer...
I heard that the audio ducking bug and the scrolling inconsistency is gone, so how does Taho feel?
If it is as fine as Sequoia it's fine for me
So the main question is at the minimum it should be same as existing Sequoia, not any worst. If that's good enough I am ready to experiment a bit. By the way what was the inconsistent scrolling issue?
And what about going back?
This comes from a person who has started to use Mac just this few months. So what if I don't like what I get on Tahoe, can I switch back to Sequoia? If yes then How?
Downgrading
Downgrading on an Apple Silicon Mac is a lot more difficult. In fact, it might be impossible unless you have another Mac to do a DFU restore with one of the restore images. I haven't tested USB booting, though that might still work if you create a flash drive with the older version and then install it that way.
If you really don't want Tahoe, disable automatic updates and check manually. This way, you'll have full control over what to install, and you won't be hit by an automatic surprise upgrade. Sequoia should continue receiving security updates until late 2027.
No it's possible to downgrade to an extent
Apple have official documentation, you can have the latest of sequoia, sonoma, and I think this year Ventura will be the last one but nobody would want to be on Ventura imo but this is another topic.
Anyone who's willing to tell about their experience?
I'm sure people mentioned their experience with Tahoe, but it'd be nice to see it in one post, here, to kind of decide if I want to go ahead and upgrade. I'm using Sequoiaβs latest version, and it's not too bad! Any post that has a list of bugs/improvements for the RC build would also be greatly appreciated.
Bugs
Can anyone report us on the possibility of resolving some of the bugs?
I would love to have exact instructions of downgrading.
I suppose that I can create a time machine and also a bootable sequoia image. I have used linux for almost 20 years now so if any one can guide me, I should be able to do it very well.
So I guess there must be some inputs
I guess now that Tahoe is released (I guess so ) there must be some inputs for sure. Any updates please?
I would hold off
I've not used it but it's very risky installing a new MacOS version this early on. Have a look at the discussion here: https://applevis.com/blog/macos-tahoe-new-features-changes-improvements-bugs-blind-deaf-blind-low-vision-users
There are some concerning reports to do with Safari.
So one will have to wait, when will be the first Tahoe update?
I see there are a lot of serious bugs being reported. As long as things like focus issue remain, I for one may not dare to upgrade to Tahoe.
Also I read that accessibility with Safari is even more broken (if that is really true ).
In such a situation, waiting for the first update to Tahoe would be the best choice IMHO.
I haven't noticed any serious bugs
It's working well on my machine, with no bugs that are more than minor annoyances. I would suggest reading the discussions on this forum and deciding for yourself whether any of the issues reported by others would affect your use cases seriously.
Well some seem to be serious for any serious user.
If the reported issues with focus jumping around is correct and if Safari accessibility is anything bad than Sequoia, then it is an issue for everyone to be looking for. Else I agree that minor irritants should not be a big barrier to upgrading.
Focus issues
I use Safari a lot, and I haven't noticed any focus jumping issues. What this suggests is that I'm not doing whatever is causing these problems for others, or perhaps my VoiceOver configuration is different from theirs in ways that matter.
Very interesting
So can some one actually report here as to which situations cause the focus jumping? I herd from so many people that voiceover is more responsive with Tahoe and I am really wanting to try it out.
While I await feedback
Just found out that people find issues navigating several web pages. Gitlab is what struck me down from the upgrade. In any case given the intencity of the bugs being reported with webkit, I will have to hold on for now.
