safari issues on sierra

Hi lately safari is a pain.
When i navigate pages all the sudden a pop up displays.
It says an error occurred on a page.
I have pop ups disabled.
Then just now got something saying carasel slide show.
i reset safari's preferences but no luck.
I ran malware tests nothing was found
