Resize partition

Hello to all. I'm sorry if this does not belong here but I had to re-install lion and I wanted to do it on a new partition. I was able to do that and delete the old partition lion was installed on from the factory. Now I'm left with a partition that says free space. It says something about dragging and dropping to resize but I have no idea how I would go about doing that. How would i resize the partition or is there another partition manager I can use? I was using the disc utility on lion. Thanks all for the help.

You can resize your lion partition by going to the drive on which the partition is on andy then choosing the partitions tab then hitting vo space on the new lion partition and resizing it to its full capacity by entering it in the box, or at least that's how it should work. I've been having issues with that myself. Take care.

Hello. I tried that and I could not get it to work. I may have to buy lion from the app store and make a bootable dvd and reformat the whole drive which would be OK. I'm backed up anyway. Thanks for the help.
