No Stop Button for Alarm on Mac

Hi all. I don't know whether this is a bug, or I'm just missing something. Earlier in the week I decided to set an alarm on my M1 MacBook Air to go off this morning ten minutes before my work-out class. Well, the alarm sounded and everything was very straightforward like on my iPhone 7, but I could not stop the alarm. Even shutting and reopening the lid didn't work. So I finally had to do a reboot of my Mac and that stopped the alarm. Anyone found a "stop" button for this? Any help greatly appreciated.

To stop an alarm, focus on the notification in Notification Center or select it in the Notifications menu, then choose "Stop" from the Actions menu, accessed by pressing VO-Command-Space.
