Nightowl question

I rarely reply to anything on Twitter, so I don't know how long this has been going on. whenever I try to reply to a tweet in Nightowl, I end up replying to a different one than the tweet I am on. It seems to be the first tweet in the table that is always the one I reply, even if I have interacted with. anyone got any ideas?

Hi, It's counterintuitive but don't interact with the table. When focus is on the table, the arrow keys move through it without interacting. This stops that odd issue you're having. Also, if you have quicknav on that can be a problem too. ~Ro

Hi, when you are in the table, use j to go to the next twit, and k to the previous, when you do this, the VO focus will be on the correct twit, so that replying to and opening links will act on the correct twit. hth.

I never knew you could use J and K to navigate through tweets. This is an awesome thing to know. :-)

not interacting with the table is the answer - thanks dude. Using J and K is sorta amazing because you don't need to turn QuickNav off to use the up and down arrow keys. now, if I can work out how to stop it showing me the Twitter handle and user name, I'd be in Nightowl heaven. Except I follow a load of junk, so it's just a waste of life!

When you hit the right arrow you will populate that new tweet field wiht the tweet you are on. Don't interact with the table but just up and dow arro wna dhit enter to reply. I find this is the easiest way to use yorufukurou.

Here are other shortcut keys I found useful Space - Select the oldest unread tweet in the selected tab Enter - Reply to selected tweet Shift + Enter - Reply to all users related to selected tweet D - Send direct message F - Toggle favorite status H - Show selected user's timeline L - Open all links in the tweet R - Open addressed tweet in browser T - Open tweet in browser A - Show timeline of @user in the tweet W - Open website of the selected user 0 - Select the latest tweet in the tab E - Preview image G - Search for hashtags J - Move down K - Move up → - Reply to selected tweet without focusing on the post input field (for sending reply to multiple users) ← - Reset the post input field Command + → - Move to next tab Command + ← - Move to previous tab Option + → - Select the selected tweet in next tab Option + ← - Select the selected tweet in previous tab

In preferences, find "appearance" in the toolbar. There's a pop up menu to select how you want to see people's names. I have mine set to user ID because when I upgraded to Mountain Lion I was suddenly seeing tons of emoji in people's names. Kinda a waste of time to scroll through and hear, "Jane Smith baseball emoji thumbs up sign emoji heart emoji" blah blah. Hope eventually we get an option to turn off emoji in verbosity haha. But I digress.

Hello,
In Nightowl, after searching for a user by typing in their user ID after pressing Command+U, once the timeline appears, is their a way to follow the user with Voiceover?
I cannot seem to find a follow button.
Thanks so much,
Ali

To fix your reply thing never ever hit the right arrow as that prefills the new tweet section wiht the name. Just hit enter.

Interact with the drawer then vo shift space on the coresponding pieces of text having to do with the tweets, followers and followings.
