Hi
I have recently bought a MacBook Air and I am having problems using the trackpad commander when voiceover is on. It skips lines and jumps about the menu. There is also a lag. I assume you can use the trackpad gestures as well as the keyboard commands without any issues or do they conflict? Apple did a clean install and I am still having issues. I am new to using a Mac so Iād appreciate any advice. Thanks.

is trackpad commander turned on?
Sounds like maybe your track pad commander is turned off so it's behaving more like a mouse? I found this on how to turn it on. https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT205770
Trackpad commander/VO issues
Hiya Keith
Thanks for your link. Trackpad is definitely turned on. I use the 2-finger twist gesture to turn it in and off. I assume by your answer that this is not normal behaviour!
it deffenatly is not
I'm owned many, many, macs over the years, and currently have two. a 2017 MacBookAir, and an M 5 MacBookPro. before those, had an iMac with magic trackpad, and of all those, i've never had this issue. there is a way to lonch Feedback Assistant, what beta testers, such as myself use, without running beta software. I suggest doing that, and reporting this bug. someone can chime in with how to do that.
