Microsoft Word on Mac desktop
Using M1 Mini with Big Sur 11.3 and Microsoft 365. Typing echo is not working. It works fine on Textedit as well as all other browser and apps. Tried various tricks, but I can't solve the problem. Is there a setting with 365?
Go to your apps folder, highlight Microsoft Word and then, holding down command, press backspace...
I've given up on Microsoft Word. I do sometimes have to use it for formatting and spell check and getting things into that arbitrary stuff for sighted folks but I compose in ulysses and then copy and paste into word. Sorry to hear you're struggling with it but my advice is try to work around it. Accessibility just feels inconsistent and half hearted, even after so many years.
