Hi. I am looking for a free or cheap basic audio editor for the Mac. It does not need filters and effects and stuff. I just want to be able to split and merge files and edit out parts. Any ideas? Thank you.

Hi Jessica. Two apps to try are Garage Band and Audacity. I used Garage Band somewhat successfully in the past. I haven't really tried Audacity much but I've heard it's fairly accessible. Sorry I can't say better than that, but they're worth a go.

Hi,
the current version of GB 10.0.3 has a show-blocking accessibility bug which prevents VO users from working with regions.
