LearningAlly app does not work on Sierra

macOS and Mac Apps

I installed the Learning Ally Link app from the Mac App store on Sierra and it kept crashing. Then I upgraded to the latest 10.12.1 and now it does not crash but there is nothing I can do on the app. It just comes up with the Apple and the Learning Ally menu items.
I am wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same issue or I am doing something drastically wrong. Thanks.

I've heard reports it doesn't work either. In fact it just dings. They are known for doing this then releasing an update about a year later that is just as broken.
