How do you delete songs from you're iTunes library?

command delete key. Simple as anything else you've mastered deleting.

What the person that I am helping is trying to do is delete certain songs from her mac and she is wondering how to do this and when she presses command delete it just dings at her.

yes, the command delete works in most situations. However, for whatever reason, sometimes it decides it doesn't want to do what it's supposed to do. Hence, your ding noise. In that case, use CMD Option Delete. it deletes songs from the library, and asks if you want to move files to the trash, or keep them. Answer accordingly. Good luck.
