How to edit content with Powerpoint/Keynote?

Hi everyone.
I was wondering how to edit content on the mack with voiceover. This is with powerpoint and keynote. Whenever I edit a slide it always moves the textfield and will not let me edit. I interact with the slide but the shape moves. Thank you.
