The Forgot My Password Popover

By Hayden, 16 December, 2020

macOS and Mac Apps

I have noticed this for some time now, and it remains particularly aggravating. There are occasions when I am simply typing too quickly as I attempt to log into my Mac; after two such attempts, I receive a popover with my password hint. But there is no apparent way to dismiss said popover. I am, whenever I receive it, forced to restart via a hard shutdown and try again. I would prefer not to have to do this, however, if there is any way to avoid it. Any thoughts?

Report it to apple.

I don't have a mac but reporting it to accessibility@apple.com will hopefully at least make them aware of this bug.
