Extra Songs Added to iTunes

macOS & Mac Apps

Hi all. Subject line pretty much sums it up. A neighbor friend and I were talking and somehow, Motion on the Ocean came up and so I decided to listen to Enya's song of the same name. So I connected my external drive to my Mac, and asked Siri to play it. Some other songs by Enya which I know I don't have came on in addition to the requested song. Anyone else ever had this happen before and if so, can I keep these other songs? I really like her music and would like to keep them if at all possible. Tia for anyone's help.

Hi, where are the files located? If they are playing from apple music you can just add them to your library or to a playlist. If they are from your neighbors computer and they are not locked, then you can copy them over. As you say you were using siri I'd believe that it was the former in which case you can simply add the music to your library which will then be accessible across all your devices.

Hope this helps and that I didn't get the wrong end of the stick.

FYI. If you do have apple music and end the service, all the music you got from apple will be deleted.
