I am trying to connect my blood glucose meter to my MacBook air so I can do a memory dump and read my number. On my Windows PC, I'd go into HyperTerminal and once it was set up, I'd make a shortcut, just pop in, type "mem" and be done with it. Anything for the Mac (latest Maverics) that will do this? Thanks.

I'm not a terminal guroo, but since the mac uses the unix shell, it's probable pretty easy to create an alius, or short cut, to what you want to do.

I would consult your manual for the necessary commands you would need to accomplish this task.

Good luck.

What type of connection?

Hello Veronica, how is your device connected to the mac? Serial port? Network? Or in other and more simple words, what do you do on windows to connect? Do you select a serial port?
