Default Login Options under Yosemite 10.10.3

Greetings, everyone.
I am a new MacBook Air user, and I recently set up my Mac, trying to change none of the default options. When I perform a shutdown with VoiceOver enabled and then power the machine back on, VoiceOver does not speak until I press "Command-F5." In addition, I have a "Guest User" option in addition to my Apple ID user group. Is this the default login behavior for Yosemite 10.10.3, or have I inadvertently toggled something off of its default setting?

Thank you for all help.

That is default behavior on OS X when Filevault is not enabled. Voiceover starting automatically at the login prompt and the availability of the Guest user can both be changed in Users and Groups preferences.
