Can you force VoiceOver to announce the characters typed into secure text fields?

Is it possible to force VoiceOver to announce the characters when you are entering a password in a secure text field?

I’m using my Mac in a location where doing this would have no security or privacy issues, it would just help to reduce the times when my dodgy typing skills result in the wrong password being submitted.

no. I think there was a way to do it with only the Wifi field, but only that one.

Yes. My typing is also no good and I wish there was a way to pick if VoiceOver clicked or if it said what you are typing in password fields both for Mac and iOS.
