annoying text edit things I've found

Forum
macOS & Mac Apps
Hi. I'm new to the mac and I find that when ever i read my text documents with the mac voiceover always reads, new line enter every time it incounters a blank line. I've asked on the audiogames forum what can be done about this and someone said they could make a script for me, I think that would be helpful as I don't wantto mess with mac tormonal yet. I read alot of harry potter fan fiction, so it can be very annoying hearing enter newline when ever you read a storie. Is there a work around this, or do i have to just deal with it? thanks for your help.

Hi. How are you reading? If you read with the down arrow key then vo will say new line, but if you read continuously with voice over by doing a vo a that's control option a you shouldn't hear the new lines. At least I don't. I can't remember if I changed something in voice over utilities or not as I've had my mac for about a year and a half. Take a look in voice over utilities. I hope this helps.

Yes, it occurs doing say all if there are multiple line breaks, every time it will say return, new line. This gets really annoying, especially during dialogs. I can't see anything related to stopping it, and setting punctuation to none doesn't help either.

Hi. I haven't looked int voiceover utilitys yet but I don't think there is anything in there, I looked when i first got my mac and didn't come across anything to do with text edit or newline enter. The other comenter is right, it's annoying aspeshaly when reading stories but I don't have that trouble in diolog boxes.
