I use a youtube official app from Google as a guest. Do you have any ideas how to get rid of adds that pop out before or during a film? Maybe should I use another app to view youtube content or is there any way to pay and get rid of irritating apps wihile using the official youtube app?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance.

Hi. You have to pay for YouTube red, which costs $9.99 a month and it removes adds. It goes without saying that it requires a google account so make sure you have one. Make sure you subscribe via the website, because for whatever strange reason if you subscribe via the app they'll charge you $12.99 instead of 9. I don't know why this is.
Or you can use an Ad Blocker.
Something like Adguard will work.
In addition to no-ads with youtube.com/red, you'll get Google Play Music Premium, background/offline playback, original shows, etc.
Addblockers don't work with app
I tried some add blockers but they don't seem to work on the app. Only on the website.
You will either have to purchase YouTube RED or ditch the app and use Safari. An adblocker in the Safari browser should stop the advertisements.
Google probably charges $13 for the subscription to get around Apple's silly 33% cut of revenue when you purchase an app or an inapp purchase. I honestly don't think it's worth purchasing YouTube RED. When I can open Safari, play videos, and lock my screen for free, I see no reason for the subscription. I also use an adblocker on my Mac so I get absolutely no advertisements.
Try the YouPlayer app. It is a third party app for YouTube. Whenever I play videos on it ads do not play.
Also if the video is long, I use a YouTube to Mp3 Web capture service that converts a video on YouTube to Mp3. I download this Mp3 file to my computer and transfer the MP3 file to iTunes, which syncs the audio file to the iPhone’s music app.
